Second Filter: UCCO™ Air Purification, the activated carbon filter adsorbs gases and is nano-coated in a photocatalyst that reacts with UVC light. This generates highly reactive free radicals along the surface of the inner activated carbon filter, "charging" it against pollutants. The self contained free radicals "attack" pollutants (gases and germs) that pass by, helping to break them down into harmless byproducts.
Recommended to be replaced every 6 months. Replacement improves HEPA and UCCO purification performance.
